We are super excited to fish and share this gem in the Free State, as it promises to be an action-packed episode full of fun, fish and friendship.
In this Episode Barend Breedt and Raymano Venter from Team Legacy Series head off to Barend’s’ hometown of Koppies, located in the Free State Province of South Africa. Koppies Dam Nature Reserve is located just outside Koppies and is our last stop on the “Fishing with Legacy Series Road trip”.
This venue has been closed to the public since the start of COVID in 2019, and has only recently re-opened to the public again. During this period, the fish in this venue have had time to grow and repopulate and boy have they, cast after cast we get into good sized fish, with more action on our rods than we have bait available for, on the day.
Barend and Raymano are blessed with plenty of fishing action, one after the other reels run, when using the well-known fishing bait concentrates Maximus, Maximus Black and Maximus River in combination with Flying Ants(Reismiere) and fish fillets as hook baits to attract and catch those maximus catfish/barbel. The new Matrix (White Banana) dip and Matrix Cloudeez Floats in combination with Legacy Feed Plus, also do the job, once Barend gets an opportunity during the chaos to cast a line out for carp.
