Teddy Swims performs Stop This Train by John Mayer for Kyle & Jackie O's Songbook live studio sessions. The singer says he chose to perform this track as it "changed his life" before sharing the emotional story behind his connection to it.
"My best friend, who plays guitar with me, he had cancer when we were 16. It was really tough. From his lungs to his bone marrow, but he's still kicking and got through it. I remember one of the times I went to see him in the hospital, he'd just started to learn to play that song. That whole summer and that whole time in our lives, the difficult and the fun and the downfalls, that song really changed my whole life. The song is about life moving on and the train keeps going, you can't slow it down."
